OPINION ESSAY – Face-to-face communication is better than other types of communication.

 New technologies have influenced our patterns of communication. Some time ago, people met their friends, but now there is a tendency to meet their electronic devices.

In my opinion technologies has many advantages but they have ruined human communication because for many people this is the only way to communicate.

Before new technologies, people used to talk more face-to-face, but now, mobile phones have suck us. If we open our eyes we would see that our society, although staying face-to-face, gives more attention to mobile phones than to the people who we are in front of, for exemple, when we are with a group of friends, we should leave the mobile phones aside and talk to each other, but sadly the majority of people don’t do this. I think that society have forgotten that the most important thing is that people are more important than computers and they cannot only live on the new technology.

As I see it, we should change the way to communicate with other people, we cannot forget face-to-face communication because a machine can not replace the positive effect of human contact.

VIDEO COMMENT – Flipping the classroom

The method of doing classes consists of a teacher explaining the lesson to his students, and then they try to understand and study it, but now this method can change.

In this video we can see that MediaCore Platform explain us this new method called Flipping the Classroom. This new method consists of learning with the way that each student has more facility, because there are different learning styles; pace and ability. With this new method the teacher films herself explaining the lesson that the students have to learn. Then each student at their home watches this video as many times as they need to learn the lesson.  Later, students go to class, not to do theory but to do practical classes and also ask for personal doubts.

I think that it’s a very good way to learn, because with this method students can learn the lesson using the time they need.

Esther Guerrero Puigdevall

Esther Guerrero Puigdevall, who is an athlete, signed for New Balance Team in October 2015. She has raced for other teams.

First of all, we should know that Esther is a woman who was born in Banyoles on 7^th February 1990. 12 years ago, mor or less, she started competitions with the Juvenile category. A few years later, she started to coach athletics in CNB. She went to China last summer and competed in the Women’s 800 metres event. Then, in September, CNB awarded her with the “Best sportwoman 2014”. After seven seasons with FCB, one month ago, she signed for New Balance Team. She says that this team gives her the chance to achieve new offers and new aims.

To sum up, she is a very good athlete and obviously has some objectives in her life. She wants to qualify for the European Championships; she also want to take part in the Olympic Games in summer 2016.

With courage and bravery, she can do it!
